THE BEST ONE MINUTE DISH I’VE EVER TASTED!
All Carmalized and Oh So Yummy!
Yes. You read right. It took me only one minute to create this delectable vegetable dish. ..and yes…it’ IS cauliflower. I know, a lot of you may not like cauliflower. I wasn’t particularly fond of it myself until I listened to my friend and fellow artist, Jerry. He was on our Farmer’s Market in Roanoke the other day, and had a very interesting looking lunch he had brought from home. Upon inquiring, he gave me the recipe. Recipe? What recipe. There is absolutely nothing to it.
Cauliflower On Tray Before Roasting
ROASTED CAULIFLOWER
1 large head of cauliflower
Olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Preheat oven to 400. Place aluminum foil on cookie sheet. Place cut cauliflower onto foil and drizzle with about ½ cup of olive oil or more to completely cover. Add salt and pepper. Roast for 40-45 minutes.
"Wow! The cauliflower carmalizes in the oil and tastes unlike anything you have ever eaten before. People who hate cauliflower, LOVE this recipe. Who ever heard of a vegetable that absolutely melts in your mouth? Imagine what it would taste like with garlic added or maybe pureed into a soup? Possibilites are endless.
Hope you enjoy and thanks Jerry!
It does look yummy, and I love cauliflower. This one is worth a try.

It sounds great I must give it a try!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites. Put the foil package on your grill next time you BBQ.
ReplyDeleteOh YUM! We're having a "meatless" night tomorrow and I just decided I MUST make this! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I too have been using this recipe for califlower, brocolli, shrimp and tofu and surprisingly beets for quick snacks. The carmalization brings out the sweetness in the veggies and a great"graab and run". It was great seeing you at the market again. see you soon!

ReplyDeleteI love easy recipes with a great result. I will try this one be sure!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis method works with most anything! I like to cut up pieces of onion, garlic, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, and extra firm tofu and mix it all up in lots of olive oil and a bit of s&p and bake. Luscious and easy! Thanks for stopping by my blog and glad you are enjoying my work. Having you blog guys stop by and comment really motivates me to keep at it!
ReplyDeleteI thought this was how everybody made cauliflower! I actually add fresh garlic as well (Italian, you know :)) I do the same thing with brussels sprouts too. I'm the only one in the family that likes both...more for me!
ReplyDeleteA one-minute delicious dish? How great! I can easily follow the instructions too Cheryl. I might share this to my mother. Easy, tasty and best of all it's healthy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this recipe! I LOVE cauliflower and I am going to make this!!
ReplyDeleteOHHHH!! I LOVE cauliflower. It is more fun than broccoli. I am going to make some of this, but instead of in the oven, I may just wrap it up in foil, and stick it in my chiminea. The smoky goodness should add that extra touch. Thanks for the instructions on how to "make" it.
ReplyDeleteCauliflower mashed with potatoes and garlic and white pepper is one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteSo, YES to loving cauliflower! And any veggie.
♥♥♥
I'm a cauli fan too, but this sounds amazing and I'm sure my other half will like it ( he's not such a veggie lover!) Thanks Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to try this!
ReplyDeleteYum! I think I'll try it this weekend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI cooked for 12 today and did this cauliflower and also broccoli in this way and it was delicious, Thanks for the heads up Cheryl....yummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm perusing your blog looking for your tomato sauce recipe recommended by Stephanie over at Dragonfly Designs and ran across this. I'm so glad I did. I like the fact that you said you didn't particularly like cauliflower but like this. I'm always looking for low calorie snacks and this looks like it's worth trying! xx Jaime
ReplyDeleteAnother amazing recipe!! I love cauliflower, and this dish sounds divine. I love the suggestions for other veggies in the above comments, as well! Brussels sprouts are another favorite, and I'm always looking for new ways to prepare them. I'm of the school that one can never have too much garlic, so I'll add that too!!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't wait to try this... made it for lunch today... absolutely delicious!!!!
